Chris Booth, Ph.D., is the CEO and a co-founder of FYR Bio. He earned a B.S. from Wake Forest University and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Cellular, and Molecular Biology from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, bringing together rigorous scientific training and hands-on operating experience. Over the past 15 years, his research has spanned extracellular vesicles (EVs), cancer, regenerative medicine, neuroscience, and cellular signaling, giving him a deep understanding of complex biology and how to turn that knowledge into useful technologies.
At FYR Bio, he leads multidisciplinary teams developing technologies and tools to better interrogate EV biology and translate those insights into liquid biopsy biomarkers that support drug development and precision medicine across oncology and neuroscience.
His mix of scientific expertise, entrepreneurial drive, and experience supporting multiple startups equips him to guide FYR Bio’s growth and partnerships. Outside of work, Chris enjoys rock climbing, ice hockey, trail running, cross-country skiing, and finding great food while traveling.
